Joe Higgins, Socialist Party, is seen here speaking at Dublin Bus workers rally against cuts in services outside the Dail. Dublin bus is threatening to cut back the number of buses, bus journeys and bus drivers. This will have a devastating impact on people and communities who rely on public bus services to get to work, do the shopping, keep in touch with family and friends, get to and from school and get to services such as hospitals. Bus workers aren’t standing for this. they’ve marched, protested developed alternative plans and have balloted successfully for industrial action to defend communities, Public Services, jobs and our transport infrastructure
